CASTING-ALUMINUM DIE CASTING

1. Types of alloys for die casting:

There are three main alloys for die casting: aluminum alloy, zinc alloy and magnesium alloy, as well as copper alloy, tin alloy, etc. The density of zinc alloy is nearly three times that of aluminum alloy, while magnesium alloy is expensive. For ordinary production and living purposes, we will choose economical aluminum alloy.

2. Properties of aluminum alloy:

Aluminum alloys have the properties of light weight, good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, and good thermal conductivity. Common aluminum alloys for ADC1 die-casting are generally called aluminum-silicon alloys, which are suitable for large-scale, thin-walled and complex-shaped products. The silicon element improves the fluidity of the casting solution. When casting conditions are not suitable, the fluidity of the solution is slow. ADC3 aluminum alloy is an Al-Si alloy added with Mg, Fe and other alloying elements, which has excellent mechanical properties, good corrosion resistance, and good castability. When the Fe content is less than 1.0%, it is easy to stick to the metal mold. Commonly used ADC5 and ADC6 alloys, also known as aluminum-magnesium alloys, have large solidification shrinkage and thermal expansion coefficient, and have poor casting performance, but they have good corrosion resistance and lose their metallic luster after grinding, so they are suitable for anodizing. ADCI2 alloy is an Al-Si alloy added with Cu alloying element, and has excellent castability and mechanical properties.

We have five die casting machines with Capacity of 150T、250T、350T、500T
