Ensure your play equipment is properly secured using our screw-in ground anchors.
We include ground anchors in all climbing frames, swing sets, and playhouses. However, if you require additional anchors, or need to replace existing ones, you’re in the right place.
Our durable climbing frame ground anchors are made of zinc-plated steel. They are built to withstand soil conditions for long periods of time and are protected against rust.
Installing Your Jungle Gym Ground Anchors
To make your play equipment as safe as possible, we strongly advise installing our screw-in ground anchors using concrete. If this is not feasible, our twist-in ground anchors can also be installed without concrete into surfaces such as compact earth or sand.
How to Install Your Screw-In Ground Anchors
1.Underneath the posts that you plan to attach the climbing frame ground anchors to, dig a hole 55 cm deep, with a diameter of 40 cm.
2.Attach the swing set ground anchors to the posts of your playset. To do this, drill a hole 3 cm above the base of the post, and screw the anchor to the wood. Place a bolt cap over the screw. The ground anchor should be positioned vertically downwards into the hole.
3.Fill the hole with concrete. Approximately 40 L / 80 kg of concrete is required per hole. Let the concrete harden before proceeding to step 4. This will take approximately 24 hours, depending on the weather conditions.
4.Check the stability of the whole play set to ensure the climbing frame ground anchors are properly installed.
5.Fill up the hole with soil or sand. Ensure it's filled to the top to prevent any tripping hazards.
Climbing Frame Ground Anchor Safety Checks
Periodically check the sturdiness of your screw-in ground anchors, to ensure they are not damaged or loosened. We recommend performing safety checks at the following times:
- At the beginning of the play season
- At the end of the play season
- Once per month during the play season
- After a period of heavy rain or wind
